A story about Old Blind Dogs
These guys are an AWESOME Scottish band. I saw them in October ‘06 in Harrisburg, PA. They can play their instruments REALLY fast and they’re quite funny. They told a story of how they forgot their electric guitar and had to buy one in the States, and they raffled it off, since this was the last show of their tour before going back to Scotland.
I didn’t even know much about them, so I wasn’t sure the 3 hour drive was worth it, and I thought it was odd that they were only playing at a middle school, but it was MORE than worth it. They are incredible musicians. And I was able to meet them w/such an intimate setting. Heck, during the intermission, they were hanging around outside mingling with the guests! They are really great guys, quite humble and down to earth. And their music is amazing! I don’t think they have a song I Don’t like, but their cd’s do NOT do them justice. Seeing them live just completely blew me away and made me an instant rabid fan. Only thing I wish was different about that night was if Jim Malcolm was there, who was the lead singer. He had left the band only weeks before, I think. But I got to meet the rest of them, and they signed my ticket!!
